Other apps are typically going to need to know the frequencies/modulation/sr aswell. You could try the software that came with your Technotrend card - it might already have a list for your cable company.

For the Technotrend, there are one or more .dll files (included with the TTViewer) that npvr needs if you are using a HW CAM, I don't remember the names on the spot but Sub might... If you are using softcam (like Acamd) I don't think you need those files. In my experience, my Technotrend T1501 card has difficulties tuning the QAM64 channels, I don't really know why.
