Modifying or adding channels

My cable provider occasionally adds, moves or delete channels. As far as I know the only way I can make an adjustment to my saved line-up is to rescan ALL the channels and then delete the ones I don't want. Is there any way to just remove or add just one or two channels?

I've got 6 tuners (three cable card and three clear QAM digital) And the line up is extensive. Editing the line-ups is tedious at best. Is there another way ?

I made a wishlist request previously about flagging channels as "ignore forever" which would make having to do a full scan more bearable. Scanning is getting getting friendlier but is still a bit of a pain with a full scan.

I'm also very interested in knowing this. Navigating the channel scan from twc was long and tedious. For some reason my silicondust scan is picking up a few channels that nextPVR has not found. I like to see if I can add these few channels manually without starting from scratch. Any insight to this would be great. Thanks!

I just ran into this w/comcast changing the digital channel of C-Span2 from 107.2124 to 105.2124. I couldn't manually change the number so what I did was run a new scan (while leaving my original channel scan in place). I found that all I had to do was delete the old C-Span2 channel and only add the new C-Span2 channel from the second scan to my existing channel lineup (removing the rest of the newly scanned channels). I hope this helps someone!

Pardon my stupidity, how do you keep the original scan? Whenever I attempt to go into the device setup, my original scan seems to disappear.

It doesn't delete any channels when you scan.

In older versions a scan would only list new channels, and existing channels wouldn't be listed at all.

In the most recent release, all channels are shown, but existing channels are shown in grey and new channels in black.
