Adaptec VideOh! DVD Media Center USB 2.0 Edition not recognised

I have been looking for a program to replace the very old Intervideo WinDVR v 3 software which enables us to watch cable TV from our Virgin box on our Windows XP PC via Adaptec VideOh! DVD Media Center USB 2.0 Edition.

NextPVR seemed to offer all that we need, but unfortunately it does not give details of any device on the Settings - Device screen

I have found an entry on the Forum which says that the program should work with the Adaptec USB version (although not the PCI version) - http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ht=adaptec

How can I get nPVR to recognise our device please?

Sorry, this device wont work with NextPVR. Analog devices must have a tuner for them to work with NextPVR, even if you're just using composite/svideo, and unfortunately this one doesn't.

from the link from Rasihasi, it looks like the pci version Does have a tuner...
or am i missing something?

would this work? [shot in the dark.. i didn't see a output encoder filter, so i think there's a filter missing]
add to AnalogDevices.xml in npvr's data dir:
