I just set up the EPG service and see the guide all says "no show details". I took a look at the TVGuide.xml & I guessing the first line stop/start represents show timing. It looks like they are all from dec 2012? What's causing this? System clock is set correct. WMC shows guide properly. Thx, Tim

What EPG source are you using? The only one integrated into NextPVR is Schedules Direct, which doesn't produce a TVGuide.xml. I'm guessing probably MC2XML then? Post your logs and UpdateEPG.bat file.

I'm surprised to hear that your WMC guide is functioning but MC2XML is not. Many WMC users in UK and Can and some in the US are without guide data due to a Microsoft screw up.
If you don't want to use Schedules Direct you can use ZAP2XML to retrieve basic guide info. http://zap2xml.awardspace.info/
MC2XML uses Microsoft.com which uses Zap2It as it's source.
ZAP2XML uses your free Zap2It account.

Thanks OTAjunkie for the enlightenment! Zap2It works great. Still getting 2012 schedules with MC2XML.

Doesn't sound like mc2xml is actually updating the file. What is the file creation date/time on your tvguide.xml?

Here's what I discovered though which may help someone explain. I noticed when I did the update the start date in the cmd window was 12-11-12 and the stop date is the current day + 2 weeks. And in the bat file command line I used -d 168 as suggested in the wiki to get 7 days worth of info. So I would then get only through 12-17-12. If I take the -d 168 out then I get current info between 12-11-12 and 2 weeks out.

Why is it using a start date of 12-11-12? My system clock is set correctly.

I ran two versions of MC2XML (the donators and the latest free ver.) both have the same start date result. I don't think it's caused by any local machine settings.
I think the problem may be with MC2XML or more likely with Microsoft. I say more likely with microsoft because WMC users (primarilly outside the US) have EPG issues. A WMC user in Can must rely on listings from a nearby US location with corresponding channel info. But most Can channel listing info stopped 24/12/12 while the US listings remained up to date. One way the Can WMC user can work around this is to use ZAP2XML and import the data to the guide using a program called "TVGuideHound". Using that method they can even use their actual location. Again, ZAP2XML sources directly from Zap2It(Tribune Media) and yields full current info.

@whurlston: Hello again. You can find the faulty command line on the mc2xml page of the Wiki User Manual's TV Guide/XMLTV section. EVERYONE who uses the code suggested there ends up asking for help at the forum because they get no TV guide listings after 12-17-12. My mc2xml now works fine for only one reason: I replaced my first UpdateEPG.bat file based on faulty code suggested by the Wiki with one based on code suggested by YOU (thanks again). I'm beginning to think that the NPVR community doesn't actually want anyone using mc2xml, perhaps out of fear that Microsoft might become annoyed. Here's a link to the last thread concerning this problem (which in turn contains a link to an earlier thread):

Or simply people who use mc2xml don't update the wiki when things change, expecting others will do it.
