I have the MediaMVP. Just stumbled onto this forum. Basically, what is GB-PVR and what do you need, besides the mediamvp unit?

GB-PVR will let you browse the TV Guide, schedule recordings, watch tv, play videos, listen to music.

To get the most out of GB-PVR, you really need to have a Hauppauge PVR250/350 capture card. In the near future I'm hoping to extend support to other cards such as the PVR USB2 and ProVideo cards.

Thanks,
With Mediamvp we can already play videos & listen to music. Is the capture card needed for the other features? I suppose it needs a hauppauge brand capture card? ( I have an ATI all in wonder for tv & capture)

To get the most out of GB-PVR you need a PVR250/350/USB2.

Yes, you'll be able to use it without a capture card, but you'll probably find the Hauppauge MVP software more functional it you dont have a compatible capture card.
