Hi,

I'm running NextPVR from XBMC 12. The Live TV constantly stutters along with the mouse if I try to move it. Then the video will start moving fast for a while. This happens over and over.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

My system is

Windows 8 x64 Pro
2 Hauppage 2250's
XBMC 12 Frodo

Are you talking about in XBMC? If so, this will be a XBMC issue rather than a NextPVR issue. XBMC does all the playback itself.

Hi Jeff

I just started having the same issue.
It is doing this "catchup" behavior on the same host as the Next PVR installation .... but it is working normally on remote XBMC clients!
The XBMC forums suggest that it is related to the Frodo build, audio synchronization settings and Realtek audio drivers. I still have the issue after selecting analog audio output with no luck but I haven't had much time to work on a fix. I believe there is also an audio handling patch at XBMC. Good luck, let me know if you fix it.

Jeff,

XBMC Frodo seems to have issues with the audio mode. Mine got stuck in Realtek SPIDIF output and this caused video playback to stall and then "lunge" forward quickly to catch up. Just like you describe. Also, I had no audio. I don't know what audio device you are using but it may have a similar problem to mine.

XBMC forums seem to recommend uninstalling the Realtek drivers. I didn't do that. Instead I disabled the Digital audio device from the audio driver. This worked!
However, It disappeared and I could not turn it back on. I happen to like using SPDIF when I watch content from my desktop media pc so I downloaded the latest audio driver from Realtec and installed it. The Digital Audio output device is restored and XBMC is working for now (using analog output) . I suspect the issue will recur if I enable SPIDIF output in XBMC. Hopefully XBMC group is working on a fix. I am a former Snapstream user and so far I like the Next PVR/XBMC combo.
