I've been using XMLTV (via MC2XML [donation]) to pull guide data for NextPVR/XBMC. It's been working well.

It has been suggested to me frequently enough to use SchedulesDirect that it finally sunk through my rock-head.

So, I purchased an annual subscription to SchedulesDirect. I'm pulling that data through MC2XML, but now it doesn't show any schedule in NextPVR.

I'm sure there is something I need to "tell" NextPVR, but I don't know what that is.

Can someone guide me, please?

Thanks!

You don't need to use mc2xml to pull Schedules Direct data for NextPVR. NextPVR has Schedules Direct support build in. See http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ulesDirect

Edit: Never mind, I didn't pay attention to the forum where this was posted (TV Listings plugin).

Does mc2xml produce a valid file with listings?

TV Listings uses the same database as the built in Guide so using Schedules Direct as per your link will work.

When I had an active Schedules Direct acct. I would use mc2xml to scrape it. That gave me more detailed info than if I used only the NPVR native Schedules Direct source.
Have you emptied the EPG, Updated the EPG, restarted NPVR and re-mapped your channels to the new xmltv file(making sure that it is the correct file)?

@OTAjunkie... Did you scrape SD via MX2XML by using UpdateEPG.bat? Did you configure NextPVR that the guide data was coming in via XMLTV (instead of Schedules Direct)?

I like the idea of "more detailed [guide] info", so the route you used sounds like the best route to me. Can you detail how you did it, please? Thanks.

I did all that... The Schedules Direct TV Guide shows up correctly in NPVR's GUI, but in the NEWA web interface for the guide is BLANK... Weird.

I suspect that this will require logs ...

How do I use the Schedules Direct service?

Use the "-T user:pass" command line parameter (user:pass is saved in mc2xml.dat). Default is 7 day download (change with -d <hours>).

mc2xml -T [user id]:[password] -a -A -d 330

UpdateEPG runs mc2xml which uses your SD account as the source

@OTAjunkie... Thanks. I just configure NextPVR to use XMLTV file as the EPG source, and point it to the SD-generated file, right? In NPVR, I'll have to delete & re-scan all my channels, too, right?
