NextPVR as a network client...

I got an issue with the client here no being able to watch live tv. I get "Unable to communicated with recording service" almost instantly when I try to start live tv. The guide is showing correctly however so npvr appears to have been able to access the db from the server.

I disabled the firewalls on both server and clients and checked if the shares were done properly as mentioned in this thread and it appears to be fine (the guide wouldn't have downloaded if there was an issue I guess). The current share is \\HTPC\npvr (I made a share for the npvr data folder directly). I tried with the \\HTPC\users\public\npvr share and I had the same issue, in both instances the guide was loading properly tho.

So I am not quite sure what is blocking the client from communicating with the server. Both firewalls off, both have been rebooted since setting the client. Not quite sure what else to check, any ideas??
Here are the logs from the client. The server doesn't generate any logs from this so I don't think anything is reaching it when trying to launch live tv.

On the client do you have HTPC as the server name and not and IP addess? From the command prompt does the following work

ping HTPC

Hi Martin, yes it does ping however you made me think of something and I found the issue. Bad network configuration on my end. Thanks for the help!
