I upgraded to the R2 version of all the files the other night, then noticed that my recordings were coming out at faster normal speed with no sound. I reverted back to my previous version but still my recordings are not correct. I've now got the latest R2 rollup that you released two days ago installed. Can anybody tell me what is going on here?

Since I figured nobody would quite understand what I'm seeing I shot a quick 1 minute video on my iPhone to demonstrate it.

I don't see your hdpvr turn to either ac3 or aac mode, you might need to go into the setup and fix each channel that doesn't show an audio source by right clicking the channel on the device.

I'm sure there isn't anything wrong with the actual recordings being made by NextPVR. It'll be related to the directshow components that Windows Media Player is using to play the file (ie decoders and splitter filter).

Well, I tried testing playback a few other ways, on my mac, on my playstation etc and all of them play the file at double speed. I removed all my channels and re-imported them, cleared out the EPG database and updated it all back, then rebooted. Now the recording service refuses to start any longer and just throws an unhanded exception. Log shows it reading in the list of things to record and then abruptly stops. Noticed something was up when I tried to record something and it threw an exception. I think it's time to dump my database again. Must be too messed up.

There is definitely no NextPVR settings that would cause double speed playback. All the encoding is done in hardware with the Colossus. I guess it could be some Colossus driver bug.

Alright, clean database got rid of the exceptions at least. I've not tried fiddling with the drivers at all been running these for years. Let me see if there are any updates.

The earlier 2.5.x updates broke many of my channels http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?53441-Hd-pvr, causing crashes and channels to be recorded with no audio tracks which could cause fast playback etc. Starting from scratch would fix this.

My channel_mappings table was a bit messed up, even after starting over with a new database. I write code for a living, so I was able to update my table pretty easily as well. My entries look like this now..

Updated all my drivers too. Which did not help. We'll see if setting the blaster info helps.

Code:
</tuning>

  <type>HDPVR</type>
  <locator>
    <channel>882</channel>
    <input>0</input>
    <blaster_executable>C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\HaupBlast.exe</blaster_execu
table>
    <audio_input>SPDIF Optical Input</audio_input>
  </locator>
</tuning>

Don't you need blaster_args? That's why I suggested the right click method of having NextPVR recreate the defaults.

Riddle me this. These are two recordings (see image). One is from last week and one from tonight on the same channel. Why am I in CBR mode all of a sudden and no AC3 audio any longer. Surely I've got something messed up here. More logs, my database and config files enclosed.
