I use MX Player on my Nexus 4 and it is good with UK HD. It makes a difference to switch from HW to SW or vice versa but I can't remember which and its time for bed.

I use it on a 'budget' 7" tablet - it's great as a pseudo-PIP - I can sit and watch a show with Mrs ACTCMS and still keep one eye (and ear) on Match of the Day Smile
