AC3Filter also has a time shift adjustment under System tab if the problem persists. I have several other MPEG1 decoders on my system that do not.

I must be missing something. Do recorded programs have the same audio sync problem? This is a band-aid to the root problem. Since I'm guessing the majority of users don't have this problem... myself included.

If your decoders and renderers were doing their job, then you shouldn't have to worry about audio sync issues.

does this decoder also effect the audio stutter? One listing said that mpg1 was not used in the USA for tv. is that correct. I am also a newbe.

Decoders affect audio and video quality in many ways so they are the best place to start tweaking. If recordings play poorly in other players it might be the source. MPEG-1 audio is still used on cable system digital and analog output in US and Canada.
