Hi,
First let me say iGL is great, and with most current programming works fantastic in terms of renaming for purposes of XBMC scraping.
I'm having some problems with some syndicated kids shows on German television. I use the --nfo and --rename tags. The shows have subtitles and can be found on tvdb, will pull art but will then rename the file with a fictional S##E## nomenclature, and not create an nfo file. XBMC is then unable to scrape the file, meaning it won't show up in the XBMC TV Shows database.
If I use only the --nfo tag it works fine, creating an nfo file that XBMC will use to populate the TV Shows database with a fictional episode number. But this is not satisfactory because for most other shows the --rename tag operates much better.
My understanding from reading some related threads (see, e.g., http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post447258 ) is that that where true S##E## info cannot be provided by tvdb, that iGL should create an nfo file rather than creating a false, unscrapeable filename. That would certainly be my preference, however that does not seem to be happening.
Let me know if you need some more info, logs, or a db, or if I haven't explained this well. Getting these kids shows properly imported into XBMC is one of the final hurdles I'm facing with respect to attaining a fully functional XBMC.
Here is a sample log file (run from the command line) for one such show, Wickie und die starken Männer. However, I'm getting the same results with several other kids' shows on the same channel:
