Sorry - second post in a few minutes, but experience tells me its better to put different issues in different posts Smile

I currently have a problem where if I log onto the PC running Nextpvr (I'm running on a little HP Microserver so I only access over RDP), the little status windows pop up showing whatever is recording now, but after I'm done and log off - it then kills the status windows and the recordings also die. I'm logging in as the admin user - the same user I was using when I installed Nextpvr.

I have a few issues, so I'm going to install the OS again - should I create a new user - install Nextpvr as that user, but then access it using another user? will that even work?

Sorry - it's quite obvious that most people are using this on desktop OS's - but I work with servers so this is more in my comfort zone Smile

Cheers!

You could simply close your RDP session, leaving the user logged in. However I don't see why it should make any difference which user you login as or whether you logout or not. The NextPVR Recording Service (NRecord.exe) runs as a service, so it doesn't stop just because you log off a user... it runs as Local System. Yes, the little status window (NTray.exe) does run in the user session, but it has nothing to do with recording - all it does is show the tuner status.

Do you have NextPVR Recording Service in your service list, and does it show as running?

Post your logs so we can see what's going on.

Oops...

I'm embarrassed to admit that while I absolutely promise that this happened many times, the last time I did get an error message, but the recording continued absolutely bloody perfectly!

Cheers for your reply though!
