Yes in the original post.

Did the un-/re-install of the driver. Still listed as Publisher: "None". Still not detected. It is version 6.15.10.501.

The log file is automatically generated by NPVR.

To find it, use Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Logs.

NPVR.log should be the first file in this folder.

Right click it, select "send to->compressed (zipped) folder", then attach the zip file to your post.

edit:

DTA stands for "Digital TV Adapter". Think of it as a stripped-down cable box that only tunes channels and doesn't have a program guide, on demand, etc. Since you already have a cable box, you don't need to worry about this.

The Catalyst 10.4 drivers mentioned earlier in this thread, which have been used successfully by SOME users of your tuner, are available here:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/wi...ng=English
Your tuner is NOT officially supported, so YMMV. I'd call it a driver of last resort. Smile

I believe the "Publisher" field is optional, so "Publisher: None" just means that the driver authors didn't bother filling it out.

Hope this helps.

BIG help (thanks)

This folder has four (NPVR, NPVR.log.1, NPVR.log.3 and NRECORD) items.

Let me know what you see inside.

It still doesn't look like you installed SoftPVR.

As mentioned earlier in the thread - analog support is disabled because the SoftPVR components are not present on your machine.

Tech support at Diamond MM gave me the idea to install and use "next pvr". I downloaded and installed and tried to use - NextPVR - which led me to this forum.

Now you are mentioning "installing SoftPVR" and "SoftPVR components". If you don't mind me asking, what is the suggestion?

Sub linked you to the wiki and I linked you to sub's post already. so if you aren't going to follow the suggestions I am not going to bother doing this a third time. It's also mentioned in the sticky.

I saw that post on the forum (and laughed) but I thought it was from someone who lost the key for their software and couldn't run it. That is not you reported it. if you ddn't even get the proper install return the device.

SoftPVR is the utility that adds support to NPVR for analog tuners.

You will need to use method two on this page:
http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ugeSoftPVR

After that, open NPVR, right click, go to settings->devices, close NPVR, and repost your NPVR.log file so we can see if the install went correctly.
