No Audio & Video

I just downloaded NPVR and I am having trouble with Live TV... I am not getting video or audio. When I drop my firewall audio will come through but not video... I have allowed everything in the NPVR directory through the firewall as well as the HDHomeRun... What else should I be allowing so that I am getting video and audio?

That says that something isn't making it through the firewall.

You need to allow NRecord.exe, NextPVR.exe and NDigitalHost.exe

but not video...

Did you select an MPEG2 decoder in the "Decoders" section of the NPVR settings? If you did, zip and post your logs.

NPVR LOGS
NPVR logs pretty much everything it does in several log files. The default log location is in the logs directory under the npvr data directory:
Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\users\public\npvr\logs
Windows XP: C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\npvr\logs

You're using the ffdshow video decoder. From memory, you have to go into the settings for this decoder and explicitly enabled MPEG2 support. Depending on the version, you may also need to add nextpvr.exe to the ffdshow whitelist setting (effectively telling it that nextpvr has permission to use the decoder).

As pointed out above, it definitely sounds like you don't have the firewall set correctly.

OMG... Thank you guys sooooo soooo soooo much... That was it... I have audio and video now... Now to figure out how recordings work... Thank you again.

Ok spoke too soon... I rebooted and my firewall issue returned... All 3 of those items are being allowed through the firewall... I am so confused.

Are you using the default windows firewall? If so, run the following from an administrative command prompt, then zip and post the resulting firewall.log
