I'm hoping for help with my HDHomeRun Prime unit running on a Cablevision cable card. The provided Silicon software is able to successfully scan for and watch all my HD channels, no problem. When I scan for channels using the "HDHR" tuner device in NextPVR, however, no HD channels appear.

This is odd because NextPVR is able to interface fine with the tuner unit, and I can clearly monitor NextPVR's scan progression through various HD channels via the Silicon configuration GUI, which even reveals the precise channel names as the scan proceeds (e.g., 702:2.1 WCBS-HD). Sadly, none of them appear in NextPVR after the scan.

Basic steps I've taken:

1) Firewall exceptions for the 3x Silicon executables. Also dropped firewall entirely.
2) Set Silicon output to "Other: ATSC/QAM" option.

No luck.

I have provided three separate logs, one for separate QAM/ATSC/HDHR channel scans, with each off a fresh startup. As you can see, both QAM and ATSC scans are successful and I'm indeed able to record and/or watch these SD channels perfectly within NextPVR.

The issue is that none of these working channels are my HD channels. I can only assume this is because my HDHR tuner channel scan is coming up empty, which is precisely where the HD channels should show up. From the literature I've read here, "HDHR" is the correct tuner for me since I'm using a Cable Card. The problem seems localized within NextPVR because I'm able to watch all my HD channels using the provided Silicon software.

Thanks for your attention and help in advance.

Hey there. Attached is the XML lineup you pointed me to. Those channels look eerily similar to what's listed in my Silicon software. Probably one and the same. If these channels would only show up in NextPVR, my woes will be over.

Does your cable box use that ##.# notation? Normaly they are just numbers.

If you mean the notation on the LED display of a standard-issue cable box face, then no, my box shows channels as straight integers.

Is it strange for channels to show up with decimals? Even my successful QAM/ATSC grabs are chock full of decimals.

You can only use the 'HDHR' source with CableCard channels, and only when you've got a CableCard installed in your HDHR.

If you're using QAM or ATSC channels, or no cablecard, then you'd have to use the BDA drivers and the 'ATSC' or 'QAM' sources.

I do have a CableCard, and said CableCard is installed in my HDHR. This seems to be working correctly as the Silicon software is able to view my HD channels as expected, and they look nothing like the SD channels I grabbed in NextPVR via QAM/ATSC scans, which ironically work fine.

Neither QAM nor ATSC is what I'm looking for, and I've included their SD channel scan logs here as reference. I'm only interested in the "HDHR" source because that's probably where my HD channels should be, and yet are not.

That lineup.xml doesn't appear to be from a CableCard setup though, with digital cable channels. It looks like a mixture of QAM/ATSC.

That "http://<address>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected" URL is what NextPVR queries to get your channel list.

Another user had that problem when they didn't have a CableCard installed http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...eRun-Prime. Maybe you need to activate the card our reinsert it and what you are getting are the free channels.

That setting is often suggested for the HDHomerun Dual, which however is not a cablecard device. You should change it back to NextPVR, then scan HDHR device and post logs if problems persist.
