No HD channels from "HDHR" tuner scan using HDHomeRun Prime with Cable Card

That setting only affects the BDA drivers and won't have any affect on NextPVR when using the Prime as an "HDHR" type device. NextPVR currently uses the command line hdhomerun_config.exe for controlling the Prime when it's set up as an "HDHR" device.

Thanks all for your thoughts. So, at this point, what specific troubleshooting steps would you guys suggest I try? My only objective is to get those HD channels listed in the XML lineup into NextPVR. These HD channels show up under the CableCARD tab in Silicon's setup software, as shown in attached screenshot, and I'm able to watch them with Silicon software. As far as I can tell, none of these channels show up in the NextPVR QAM/ATSC scans, at least not in HD.

As shown in attached screenshots, the Silicon setup software is the only real evidence I have that I'm operating under a CableCARD setup, other than the fact that I've had a standard issue cable box for years with the same CableCARD inside. I really have no idea what's going on in there.

Another user had that problem when they didn't have a CableCard installed http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...eRun-Prime. Maybe you need to activate the card our reinsert it and what you are getting are the free channels.

If the CableCARD wasn't activated, wouldn't the attached screenshots of Silicon's software let me know? That's what the Silicon support documentation claims would happen, anyway.

That setting is often suggested for the HDHomerun Dual, which however is not a cablecard device. You should change it back to NextPVR, then scan HDHR device and post logs if problems persist.

That lineup.xml doesn't appear to be from a CableCard setup though, with digital cable channels. It looks like a mixture of QAM/ATSC.

That "http://<address>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected" URL is what NextPVR queries to get your channel list.

Are you suggesting I can pull in those XML lineup channels via QAM/ATSC scans in NextPVR? The channels I got in this way only display SD, and NextPVR explicitly tells me this during the scan and thereafter, visually.

Your cablecard isn't bound. If it was, you'd see valid channel names for every channel, and the normal channel numbers you get with your cablebox.

I've attached a screenshot of an HDHR Prime setup with Cablevision so you can compare with your Cablevision setup. ie, you should see all your channels listed, and be able to scroll down through the couple of hundred channels, and they all have names ("702 CBS-HD" etc).

Thank you, sub, and for the screenshot. That looks very normal indeed. I'll call up Cablevision tonight and try to get this CableCARD squared away. Will report back.
