Hi,

In the config window, I am getting the warning "The DirectX runtime is not available on this machine". However, i have installed the Runtime referred in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...arted-Info and the dxdiag looks ok to me.

Anyone know what else I need?

Attaching the dxdiag log.

Are you running an older graphic card? I'v seen this message when I tried to run npvr with an old graphic card.

You could try the web install version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...aspx?id=35. I vaguely recall a user saying that he installed the full redist version multiple times but it didn't work until he installed the web version. I have no idea why that should be the case.

no, the dxdiag says he's got an integrated geforce 9300, plenty new enough.

Some of the geforce are tricky cards, might be worth trying another if he has one lying around.

I've experienced this in the past the full version would work immediately after installation but it would randomly give up after anything from hours to days later. The web version stuck - ive never posted about it though as I never saw anyone else complaining.

Trying to install using the webinstaller gives me the following message:

Quote:DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary.

Still having the warning in NPVR though.

Every time I'v had a similar case it has been because of the graphic card. Can you try another one?

I have the same issue too after installing 3.1.1.

Reinstalling DirectX doesn't seem to remove the warning.

System is using Integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000

Do NPVR.logs show DX errors and rendering delays? Otherwise it might conceivably be a false alarm bug.
