Missing recordings. New version?

i upgraded to the new version and it seems to work fine other than when I go into recordings none of my old recordings are there. I checked the settings and the proper directory is setup still.

Any ideas?

I have had times when the connection between NextPVR and the SQL software has gone haywire and I have had to reboot to fix it.

Are the recording files still in the same folder that they were in when the recording files were created?

Stop and start NextPVR, go to the Recordings screen which is displaying wrong, wait a minute and then post the logs. Thanks.

How did you upgrade to the new version? You should just have to run the installer, and it'll upgrade. ie, don't uninstall then reinstall.

Are you recording to a local drive? You can sometimes loose the recording list if you're recording to network drive, or removeable drive. It doesn't like finding it cant get to the recording drive, which sometimes happens when these types of drives.

Hopefully you've got a c:\users\public\npvr\recording-backup.xml and recurring-backup.xml. These can be used to reimport you recordings. Check for these files, and back them up now.

Yes I installed by running the new version. All my recording settings are there. The previously recorded shows are not listed in ready recordings or what's new. I can still go directly to the drive using Windows File Explorer and run the shows from there so it's just a sync issue of some sort in NPVR.

I cant think what would have gone wrong. To fix it though, backup your npvr.db3 file (incase anything goes wrong), them use the 'import recordings' feature to import recording-back.xml and you should be good to go.

I seem to have the same issue. Npvr failed to play a new file so I rebooted my system. Now I only have recordings listed from this week in the "Ready" list even though the recordings are still in the directory

I renamed the "recording-back.xm", "recording-back.xm.old" and the "recording-back.xm.1", "recording-back.xm" Imported the file and Voi La, my old recordings are back.
