doesn't look like you downloaded the wintv7 setup file, or didn't put it in the same directory with the batch file. please follow the wiki instructions.

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong (I thought you just didn't have the WinTV7 installer in the right place, but the error would have been different). It has nothing to do with where you installed NPVR; NPVR neither knows nor cares where the SoftPVR bits are. All that's important is that they're registered with Windows (i.e Windows is the middle-man here... NPVR just asks Windows for the needed encoders, and Windows either says "yeah, got 'em, or no, don't got 'em". My version of the SoftPVR.bat installs to a directory \SoftPVR off the root of whatever your windows system drive is (usually C  . The wiki version installs it to a directory \SoftPVR under your NPVR Program Files directory, but that version is missing some quote marks somewhere so it doesn't work.

i added better error message when file not found to the batch file..
previously it would continue even tho it displayed a msg...
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie

I don't have the CD anymore
But last month I updated the drivers from the site for Hauppauger. So I should delete it then do a reinstall of the drivers with having the batch file in the same folder ?
It might not be clear that Option 2 on the Wiki is only telling you to download (as in Save, not Run), and this is WinTV7, not just drivers. As for batch file, you should use the one johnsonx42 attached to post #3. Yes, put them in the same folder. [Edit] Right-click on batch file and select "Run as administrator." If this fails, provide details.

I got the Batch file installed ! And can see the analog now on the Video card and set the 2 channels but now when I go to Live TV and click on any channel I get a pop up screen saying "Unable to Communicate with recording service" This goes comes on for any OTA or my CTV channel
