I recently upgraded my client machine to version 3.1.1 (from 2.6.2). my Server machine was already running version 3.1.1.

Now when I try to watch live TV on my client, I get the "the tuner you were using was required..." error message even though the tuner (an HD PVR2) is not being used for recording or any other purpose. After trying multiple times it will eventually stream live tv successfully. I never had this problem with version 2.6.2.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, were you able to find a solution? Searching the forum did not reveal a solution.

My client machine is running windows 7 x64.

Thanks!

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the log files?

Attached are the logs.

I selected live TV twice and received the error message twice.

Regards.

Unfortunately you restarted the recording service before you zipped up those logs, so it overwrote the useful info I needed.

You'll need to try again, and zip the logs up immediately after the error.

Ok. Here are the latest logs. These were zipped while the error was still being displayed.

Ah, sorry - missed the bit you mentioned you were on a client. I'll also need the server logs.

I can't see an obvious problem in the server logs. Does this happen for you every time? does it happen straight away?

Yes, happens every time AND on two different machines. If I select the "exit to menu..." item in the error message (it's the only option available) and then select live TV again it does the same thing. It takes multiple cycles of selecting Live TV and clearing the error message by selecting the "exit to menu" before it will stream without the error message.

This did not happen when the client was 2.6.2 and the Server was 3.1.1. That's why I suspect something on the client side.

Let me know if there is something else i can try to assist you.

Hmm, I suspect I'm still not seeing the error condition in the log. Can you reboot both machines, then reproduce the problem again, and zip and attach both the client and server logs, and let me know the time the attempt occurred? This way I'll know exactly what time to look for in the logs, and I wont have to wade through old stuff.
