If it fits compress and upload the database here or on another site and I can see if I see anything. There might be an issue with your channel lineup.

I am guessing either a preset size array is being over run (i.e. predefined to 100 and trying to load 101) or an array is being read past the end....i.e. there are 100 items and it is passing through 101 times.
This is not in NEWA. at SearchLite.ScheduleRecording..ctor(SkinHelper skinHelper, String backgroundElementName, Hashtable args, IPluginCallback callback)

I've uploaded the zipped db to https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=B5...dnvWkSpLEI
Hope the share works. If not, I'll upload it to the server.

Ok, your share worked fine. Can you give me an example of a fail?
I searched good_wife the first search with the load of NEWA took 2.7 seconds. I searched to WIVB-HD and it set the recording fine in .152 seconds. Martin

Good_Wife took 24 seconds and throws the exception when attempting to record Sun 9:00pm on Missing 7418 (Ice, ice) or Sun 9:00pm on WIVB (The Next Month)
I could zip up the entire app and data directories, but I wonder if it's worth me trapping it in a debugger. Is there an alternative to installing Visual Studio? Most of my development has been C++ or Windows Phone. Haven't done much C# on the desktop.

I tried again to install npvr over top in case some files were deleted, but that didn't help. It's something with my system/config but I have no idea what.
I cleared the logs, ran NPVR.exe, exited, ran again and searched "ONCE". Picked some show and asked it to record. It request seems to get to NEWA quickly, and the response seems to be sent. NPVR looks like it waiting for something before processing the response. At least as far as I can tell. I thought it might have been searching forthe JSON parser, so I moved the DLL into the same directory, but that didn't change anything. I can deal with the one time delay. But I can't record from Search. The logs mentions what looks like missing bitmaps for buttons? or is that just the skin xml file? Just thought I'd mention that the 20 second delay and Newa may not be started still happens for me [on first search only]. After that search results appear immediately.
I also have the slight delay when trying to Record but it seems OK except that if I try to then cancel the scheduled recording within Searchlite nothing happens.

Hi
I'm also having a problem with Searchlite. I updated my system with it today 2nd December 2013 and every time I start a search it says that NEWA may not be running, then it works OK finding all the programs, but if I try to click on the record button I get and 'Unexpected Handling' message sand dialog box.... Reinstalled v3.1.1 but no better. Hope you can sort it out Regards Bob

Sorry to support this I need all your logs, no snippets.
Edit: And please do this when you are not streaming video with XBMC or any web client. There's far too much spam in the logs when this is going on. Martin |
