We have five new HD channels in UK here from Tuesday plus Al Jazeera HD from a couple of weeks ago.
My NPVR setup has audio glitches on Al Jazeera HD and BBC News HD on Live TV [the other new channels have no audio until Tuesday]
Playback of recordings and even playback of timeshift are both OK.
Older HD channels are OK in Live TV.
There are two audio formats in the streams HE-AAC and MPEG [on all HD channels though]
However if I disable the MPEG decoder in Decoder settings of NPVR the glitches go away.
MPEG decoder choice other than disabled does not help.
I am using LAV Audio for HE-AAC.

This always has been a bit of a problem with NPVR.
Here is what I have done to try to minimize the problem.
Install the very latest LAV Codec This is the latest http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=...ost1656883

NPVR settings
MPEG LAV Audio
HE-AAC LAV Audio
AAC LAV Audio - I need this for a few recordings that have re-encoded audio, you may not need it.
All the rest disabled
tick the use mapped drives only.

LAV Audio settings
Untick auto A/V sync
Tick Audio delay - I have found that audio leads video by about 80 - 100 milliseconds on my system so to get lip sync I have Audio delay set to 85ms which was the nearest I could get to whole number of audio samples / memory block (85.33ms would have been perfect) It needs to be a multiple of 256 divided by 48.

This seems to have reduced the glitches to a minimum for me.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

An interesting question is why you have serious live TV audio glitches on only two HD channels. Based on U.S. experience, it might be that those two HE-AAC streams have an unusual number of audio channels. That could be investigated rather easily via LAV's tray icon. Since you obviously don't want to disable MPEG1 for SD channels, the best solution is probably to always timeshift the affected channels. I learned a great deal about this general issue from this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...lter-Graph
