mvallevand Wrote:Thanks I saw something new. Are you typing in the search or submitting saved searches? If saved search, could you upload you web-saved-searches.xml file from the data folder. Hi Martin I always type in a new search never submit a saved search, I may have saved a search and then typed in the same search again. Regards Bob

Sorry for the log delay. We had a lot of family over unexpectedly due to the ice storm. I hope everyone fared well with whatever weather you might have had (if any).
I do have the latest version with RegEx fix running. My repro sequence is: -Shutdown npvr, restart recording service. -Delete logs -Start npvr. -Searchlite -Type O N C E -Wait 20+ seconds for NEWA not started -Press Return (select first result) -Select Record from popup -Copy crash dialog contents, close npvr, restart service -zip up logs. The crash dialog contents are in a txt file in the zip. Thanks guys. I know this is probably frustrating for you. Hope you have a great holiday.

My brother lost power in the GTA and luckily he was here in Ottawa for Christmas. His power is back but things still don't look great for a lot of people. I remember our big ice storm in the 90's and we lost power for 4 or 5 days and that was hard. Quote:Thanks guys. I know this is probably frustrating for you. Hope you have a great holiday. There is an error coming back from Windows on one of the call is "Unable to connect to the remote server" which is the problem, I will have to add more logging to find out which call is failing. UncleJohnsBand Wrote:I see 3 request.....with the 3rd one not completing. In order they would be the 1 - the actual search is a searchSerialized The the first time loads are 2 - getChannelListObject 3 - getRecDirSerialized If either of those generate the timeout error, I would give a bogus message that NEWA may not be started my exception test is too high. If the third one is failing Martin

I really hate dragging up a five month old thread (especially for my first post on the forum), but it seems like I'm having this same problem with SearchLite 1.4.6 (at least that's what I assume I have, I got it from the wiki page) and NPVR 3.2.9. Before I start posting logs, I thought I'd check and see if there was a known fix for this issue that I missed.

Searchlite continues work to for me but here is an updated plugin http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...1&p=468299 which I never moved to the wiki because this thread went cold.
