I'd take a look normally too, but I don't have what too provide my email address to a file sharing service.

Thanks Guys.
Anyone got any idea why my copy of NPVR selects the wrong decoder? I've tried multiple versions of the PDVD codec and the Microsoft one. All work with everything HD other than the BBC channels recorded from the DVB-S2 source. I wonder this is meaning it cant open the file, causing it not be able to determine the stream type, so it adds no decoders etc.

The same funny characters are in whurlston's log output above too.

Different versions of Windows, or different filesystems etc, could mean it's still a factor. I'd try renaming a file to remove these characters, and play it via the context menu.

When I downloaded the file there were some odd characters too but I took them out for my test.

Those strange characters don't appear in the SD version of the EPG so if they are causing the problem perhaps its to do with the decoding of the HD channel version of the Freesat EPG.

Win 8.1 x64 here in case it makes a difference. I can test on Win7 later. |
