FreeSat recordings stop after a few seconds :-(

Hi,
I've been running nPVR for a while now and this is the second time this has happened.

If I schedule a recording it starts but stops after first few seconds.

The last time I ran into this I took the drastic step of doing a clean install and after a few days struggling I got it working.

I then created a backup image of the system.

All went well for 3 months or so but now, today, it started again.

I took a snaphot of the logs (attached) and re-imaged the machine from the above, but after updating the EPG it is the same :-(

Could it be the guide ??

I use nPVR 3.1.1, and DVBGuide, running under XP+SP3.

Getting desperate here - 'er indoors is missing her programs and I'll soon need a full suit of armour!

Any suggestions welcome.

As for time - it would have been early evening GMT.

The ndigitalhost-20.log has this ...

2014-03-26 21:45:08.500 [DEBUG][4] File size is 0

Has the channel moved to another "frequency / transponder"? Does a rescan help?

Hmmm - perhaps, but I don't think so because it seems to happen with all channels.

I'll check and also try a rescan.

I also saw "locked=0, present=0" messages in a ndigitalhost log ... this is the tuner saying that it failed to lock a signal. A cabling problem, perhaps?

Shouldn't be a cable problem ... last time this happened WinTV was able to view/record the channels.
Also the short recording that is made is OK.
Again, I'll check later today.

I did a rescan then updated the EPG and it looks like the issue is fixed :-)

Wife has cancelled the execution :-)

I'll know what to look for next time

I guess that's why why a reinstall works (fresh scan) works but a re-image doesn't (no scan).

I tend to keep a check here for changes, but the important ones can get lost in the 'noise'
