I know this a is dev thread so I'll try and keep it short.

Just wanted to say thanks to all devs involved for the continued effort with both NPVR and Mediabrowser!! The live TV plugin for Mediabrowser will mean I will finally be able to move completely from Mediaportal and Webmediaportal which is something I have been wanting to for a long time. I already use NPVR for live TV at home and Mediabrowser for streaming but have to fall back to Webmediaportal to watch live TV when streaming so this plugin is exactly what I am looking for!! I've updated my NPVR install to 3.2.9 and am really looking forward to testing out the functionality when the plugin is released Smile

Ok I cheated a little compiled from git and copied in the plugin dll and html (renamed to xml) on current beta MB3. I'm clueless to here, maybe I've done it all wrong. But it seems to be working.

And when I say it seems to be working it's because the webgui seems to list live-tv correctly.

So I try to start a stream, after a long time backend start timeshifting, then it stops, all while webgui is "working". After about 40 seconds timeshifting is working again and this time webgui start playing, but only for a few seconds until timeshift stop again.

What shows more promise though is playing with MBT, I did start channel from webgui but rather than play I choose to remote play with MBT, now it starts within seconds, but MBT only plays video in background and then crash. But the speed is very promising. And it does play afterall, only the video is behind everything and there is a "unhandled exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error in focus.

I'm off to bed now, can provide som logs etc tomorrow if wanted, but maybe I should just wait for official release.

So at this point everything needed from next pvr has been released into the wild? Is that correct?

Thanks, that's great news. We'll try to get the plugin released when the next server release goes out.

About 10 pages ago or so one you guys mentioned a few features that you feel are missing. I recall one - number of days to keep a recording. I don't remember the other two but if you get them to me, along with a description because I didn't quite understand them. But if you get those to me we can start looking at them.

In the meantime, Roku and Windows Phone app updates have both been released and now support live tv. Here's the roku blog post:

The other apps are soon to follow.

By far the biggest problem is the issue of the bad mp4 trancoding that fails before moving to vp8 mode from firefox.

I'll look into the firefox issue. Sven, are you able to test the plugin and help get it ready for release? Let me know how it's going for you. Thanks.

The firefox issue is fixed for the next release. Unless anyone has any other issues to report, we'll try and get this released shortly after the upcoming server release.

Thanks, I tried the latest update and it doesn't bother with mp4 and goes right to webm which speeds things up notably. to about 8-10 seconds on SD channel. However it isn't working for HD h264 well at all, talking 70% CPU on my MB3 server which is an i7 and very choppy play.
