HDHomerun prime (using cablecard) setup question

Since the provider is nuking clearQAM for the blasted encrypted channels, was forced to get a cablecard.
Question is, just how are you supposed to scan cablecard channels ?

I did select the HDHR ones and enable them, and disabled the old QAM ones, then a scan does a instant update, but those are pretty much the same channels as I had before. (ie, local broadcast ones)
Do I have it correct that it reads that info from the silicondust HDhomerunprime setup program, and that is it, or did I miss something ?

You also need to have scanned for channels in the SiliconDust software before attempting it in NextPVR. Have you done that, and did their software find all the channels you expected?

I just got done setting it up, and I had to call the provider up to reset the MCARD.
Then, after doing a scan via the web page, it found all the stations.

I forgot to setup the Silicondust utility again, so, I just went ahead and selected the HDHR, did the scan, and it showed the same stations as the web interface.
I guess that means, that it reads the info direct from the tuner, and not the SiliconDust software ?

Anyway, it is late now, and will play some more with this when I wake.

Try viewing http://<ipaddress>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected to see what channels it lists. This is what NextPVR is using when you scan with the 'HDHR' device. This URL should return a list of all the unencrypted channels you are allowed to watch.

Didn't know it can do that... and it is in XML format it appears.
Yeah, those are the same channels that NPVR lists.
