Excellent - What I've been waiting for - will try it this weekend.

Meanwhile, a couple of general questions:
1) Does it work from the DVD option in the Main Menu or will I need a shortcut to the Drive in Videos?
2) When you say Java 8 not supported does that mean you know it doesn't work and I will have to go back to 7 or may be it will maybe it won't - your on your own

Oh and also - the support link on the Wiki goes to the GBPVR Legacy Plugin Forum, was that your intention?

You will need a shortcut. I'll look into getting the menu DVD option to work.

dukey (on doom9) has stated version 8 has some issues and he is working on it. I haven't tested it at all.

Oops, no it wasn't. I will fix that. It should just go to the main plugin forum (until I can arrange for a sub forum).

Looks like another great job. I'm very late on the bluray technology. I have a bluray burner in one of my computers but don't even own a dedicated bluray player yet. One day when I find a life I will get one and enjoy some quality videos.
In the meantime, I'm hoping to be able to play with this so I can keep up with what's going on.

Indeed, I've never owned one either.

I used PowerDVD (7 I think it was) back in my XP days, before moving to TMT3 with Windows 7. I have it running great with refresh rate changing via ReClock but tbh I never use it other than when watching the extras. The main movie is usually watched in NPVR these days (with AnyDVD HD and LAV) which obviously starts (and resumes) playback way faster than booting TMT, and even supports HD audio bitstreaming that TMT can no longer manage with my current mobo-based gfx card (it did with my previous discrete one though). NPVR playback only misses forced subtitles (hint hint ), but that's solved by ripping everything to mkv and creating .srt files for the few films that require that.

This plugin is a great solution that allows TMT to be all but fully ditched.

Got them working on mine with AMD HD7000 card - LAV Video Codec with copy back acceleration, xy-vobsub filter and eng,eng in the 2 language fields and default in the subtitle field in LAV Splitter settings. Get all the english subs on Chinese films and even get the forced subs on Avatar Blu-ray (Had to use our imagination the first 2 times we watched it :confused: )

In our house I am the dedicated Blu-Ray Player - as in "Can you put this Blu-Ray on for me"

Either take over the DVD shortcut or give it it's own "Blu-Ray" one would be nice (when it comes out of Beta )

Good to know. I'll try that at the first opportunity, although I'm reluctant to move away from the stability of the MS decoder for playing AVC content.

Edit: looks like this'll work without the LAV video codec too, so that's good. Just need to suss out the right combo of settings to get things displaying properly - right now I'm seeing additional subs that I don't want (eg "Speaking Navvi").

Forced subs are displayed automatically depending on the audio stream selected. eg: if you are listening to English audio, English forced subs will be displayed. Which reminds me of something else:

This honors the SelectAudio/Green and SelectSubtitles/Yellow keymappings (although there is no OSD to show you which one is selected). Each keypress will toggle to the next language. Pressing Yellow while the last subtitle track is active will disable the subtitles. Pressing it again will enable them starting with the first subtitle language. Right clicking the window will show you which audio/subtitle track is active (mouse selection doesn't work yet though).

In the attached image (from Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), you will see the forced English subs being displayed during a Russian speaking part even though the selected subtitle stream shows as "Disabled".

You underestimate my wife's ability to question. We tried a standalone once. The first (and only disc) we played was one of the LOTR movies with over 14 minutes of unskippable intros and previews. This exceeded my wife's patience by about 13 minutes. It was returned the next day.

Done. I've also added the ability to select the default Region code. I want to add default language selection and add some more logging and I will post a new build tomorrow.
