NextPVR freezes after removal of ISCSI disk

The timeout for detecting a not reachable server is soo big that the recordings never got deleted in the database. I always ended up in killing nextpvr out of frustration it was hanging.
A better approach would be to move the checking of the availability of the recordings away from the main thread so it is done in the background . This would eliminated the hanging behavior completely

Unfortunately any timeout is a Windows thing, not controllable by NextPVR. When I check if recordings still exist, I just as windows if file X exists, and it takes care of what it needs to do to check this.

No - it cant do that. It needs to know the list is accurate before returning the results and displaying them, so needs to check it while reading the list. If you've got a problematic drive with some long time out occurring, you can change the setting in config.xml, to tell it not check for missing/renamed recordings.
