Web Client: Different Live playback mechanism?

Playback of Live TV from X-Newa and the web client seems to be different. Does the web client not use path substitution so does not play back the file directly? The result is that Live TV playback from the web client is not clear (almost like it is not using the deinterlacing settings) and I cannot seem use the XBMC OSD to adjust any playback settings.

There is no path substitution on live tv. I do use my own hacked custom skin so that I can change channels and have the F1 popup stations that might be causing a problem, as XBMC might be rendering at 1280x720 and upscaling.

To get to the XBMC normal fullscreen skin use the Home key or if you have a mouse click on the screen to give it focus. The Back key takes it back to my custom screen.

To disable using my custom skin completely in emulate.py find

isMin = True

and change it to False.

I'm not sure I understand. I get good playback of Live TV in X-Newa while it is only problematic in the web client. Do you only use the custom playback screen for the web client? Thanks.
