enhancement Request: obey <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> setting

Hi alibert

It would be good if TV listings/recordings behaved like Subs TV guide whereby if AutoRemoveMissingRecordings=true, upon startup, parse through the recordings table and remove any records from the table where the file no longer exists on disk.

I periodically mass-purge redundant (no longer wanted) recordings directly from windows explorer and would like to then see them disappear from TV Recordings.

Your plugins remain the family favourite here, so many thanks as always for your high quality code. (hence why you don't need to post very often!).

Eh? I'm pretty sure that the purge is done by NextPVR when it starts and should be good for both Sub's Recordings and for Alibert's TV Recordings. There is another setting in config.xml that prevents the purge from the database if the recording "folder tree" is missing. Is the "tree" setting getting in the way?

Npvr only purges when you have Sub's TV Guide enabled. Maybe I should go and check with Sub if this should be run without his guide enabled.

As long as he is using the built in API to load the recording list, then it'll do it.

ie, all he needs is this one line of code:

ScheduledRecording.LoadAll();

Hi,

the plugin loads the scheduled recordings incrementally on it's own, so if the "AutoRemoveMissingRecordings" magic happens during "ScheduledRecording.LoadAll()", it would never be executed during usage of the tv listings or tv recordings plugins.

I'll see if I can perform at least the first request to load all recordings using the mentioned call for a future release.

Even if you don't use that method for loading your recordings, you could make an initial call to that method when your plugin is activated, and just don't use the return result.
