Ok, as promised here is my findings based upon last nights recordings. BTW, I know that it was a risk, but I updated to 3.3.8.
CTV - CSI - extended 38 minutes -- not needed
CBS - Madam Secretary - started at 8:00pm, show actually ended at 1:28:25, recording 1:37:56
Global - Madam Secretary - started and ended on time (1:00)
CBS - Good Wife - started at 9:00pm, [didn't get actual end time, 12G file did not stream nice to my wifi laptop], recording, 1:37:59
Global - Good Wife - started and ended on time (1:00)
So overall, looking good. I actually would have thought that start times would would have been moved back, instead of starting on time, and just adjusted but lengthening. With that said, what I saw is probably safer anyways, as web site that you get the sports start/stop time might not get updated right away, plus you would have to hammer the site every second or so, as not to miss any of the show.

What I did find a little particular though was the end time was off by about 9.5 minutes, but I think that might be your post game padding that I think I read about in the thread.

One interesting item is that CSI on CTV was extended by 38 minutes when it was not needed. I suspect that it picked up CBS extra 28 minutes plus 10 min post game, normally i would have though nothing of it, because you probably don't differentiate the channel but the show itself. Plus considering that your biggest target audience is the States, alt channels for the same program is a non-issue, but what makes it strange is that the two CBS shows on Global did NOT have the extended recording windows. It is probably a side effect of the Madam Secretary and Good Wife being record on two channels simultaneously while CSI was only recorded on one.

Once again that is a great tool. I would have loved to have it last year, as there where plenty of shows that where miss recorded due to Football, Golf, etc.

@dlowe thanks for the feedback. The difference between CTV and Global is that CTV shows the football game, Global doesn't so no logic to include to shift Global. Week one they did delay but that was it. On CTV their logic is to join the show between the game and Once and Again as already-in-progress.

Worked perfectly for the OT Washington-Dallas game last night.

Reading this other thread today http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ct-or-nPVR I wonder if it would be a good idea simply to cancel a recording like the mentioned CSI if it moves past an 11pm start?

I placed an update on the wiki since NextEnd didn't see "Super Bowl XLIX" as a sporting event! To be fair I do like the line from late-night "with Frozen star Idina Menzel singing the national anthem and then with Perry at halftime, this is the first Super Bowl directed specifically at seven-year-old girls"

To get the Blacklist if you don't use --sunday mode you will likely need to record the post-game show.

I really lucked out with NextEnd. I added 5 minutes of padding to this and it just squeaked in. Note from the screenshot that it is not next week, it will be Thursday.

Are there any NASCAR viewer who'd use this starting next week? Slugger and I have talked about the problems because the names from SD don't match the names on the web sites he uses so I'd need to add the mapping. The SageTV version allows manual editing, I prefer everything in code.

Yes, I'll give it a go for Daytona.
