I was moving some files around when the Files plugin started crashing. The common thing between the files it was trying to move was the apostrophe. I was tring to move a couple of Hawaii Five-0 episodes, Hawaii Five-0.S05E04.Ka Noe'au and Hawaii Five-0.S05E05.Ho'oilina and The Flash.S03E05.Thing You Can't Outrun. Disregard the funky season numbers on that episode, that was my utility that did that but there is the apostrophe in the file name.

Thank you for posting this bug. I believe that the plugin has become obsolete due to the archive function in newer versions of NPVR so I have no intentions to support it at the moment. I also doubt that it is still compatible with the latest version due to changes in the database, but I am not sure since I still use 2.6.2 due to some problems with newer versions.

Understood, I like it because of the external command function but that's built in now too I believe, but I do prefer in a sub menu of sorts which your plugin providesWink instead of off of the main menu. It still works with 3.3.8.Cool

tmrt sent me the source code and I've been able to fix the issue with the comma, I'll do a bit more testing tonight and upload it.

I wish I would have found NPVR instead of BTV along time ago. Y'all are an awesome bunch of folks. Thanks!

Here's the fix to beta test, in my testing I decided to change a few things too.

- Mediainfo.dll can be installed in Plugins\Common
- Use numbers for NextPVR like 10% jumping
- Moving would only move other files in Name2Dict mode
- Back key like Esc
- Archive option uses NextPVR Archive feature
- Archive on same folder will move file to the recording name folder

Install the Files plugin from the wiki and replace the files in the attached archive.

Files with the apostrophe move now. However, the directory structure is not maintained on the moved file, they are dumped in the. It is also missing from the recordings menu.

On a side note, the archive feature does not work on my system from either the Files plugin or the Recordings menu. I would think that it would be some type of permissions issue since whatever account the recording service uses would be used to do the move but I've granted the everyone entity full control of the share. I've attached the log.

I checked the XML file generated by the plugin and it has the directory structure as it should be except for one issue. Where did the path come from? File attached The destination directory is a UNC path on my NAS server. The XML file has a drive letter.

Ok, that seems to part of the File Plugin that I didn't change, but I need confirm. Edit: the existing logic seems to move it to the root folder.

If it moves to the Root of a folder when you Archive to the same folder it should move it to a child. Eventually that will create the proper names for Kodi/XBMC and Plex scanners too.

The problem would show in NRecord.log, it does the Archive moving. There is not logging of note in this Plugin and that is something I have to change.

I didn't touch that logic, I didn't even know the Plugin made those files. NextPVR does.

It is an unauthorized exception error but that doesn't make any sense. I've given everyone full control over the directory. So I tried giving System explicit permission and I still get Access denied in the log. Windows networking can be such a pain. I'll eventually figure it out Big Grin now that I know for sure it's a permissions problem. Thanks for the point to which log file. One question though, if the Files plugin can move files to a share, why would the recording service get an access denied error?

I remember now that the path that is showing in the XML file was the drive letter of the hard drive when it was recorded initially. That hard drive was in the server but I moved it to the NAS. Since NPVR creates those files the xml file means nothing for this purpose.

The plugin was moving files to the child directories when things appeared to be physical drives. Maybe it's a UNC path issue. I'll test later this afternoon and post the results.
