Help scheduling recordings

I am working on a new plug-in that schedules recordings and I have some questions. The first is, when calling the ScheduleRecording funciton one the parameters that is passed is the recording group. I am wondering what this is and how I select the approraite value to pass for this.

The other thing I don't understand is how I check for and resolve conflicts when scheduling things.

Any tips or code code samples would be welcome.

If its a one-off recording, use zero for the recording group. To allocate a new group for a season recording pass -1.

The other thing I don't understand is how I check for and resolve conflicts when scheduling things.

Sorry, I dont have any documentation on this, and I cant be arsed explaining it.
