Network Recorder Retiired

I retired my firewire recording using Network Recorder last weekend after more than 3 years of nearly flawless performance. Thanks, Martin for a great application, and thanks also to the SageGraphRecorder and SageChanger developers. With the loss of clear QAM, I took the plunge with a HDHR Prime.

Thanks for that mikeh49, glad it was of some use to you. Firewire recording stopped for me shortly after releasing this and my newish STB doesn't even tune over channel 99 but with no Primes in Canada, I am just lucky that the HDPVR is so reliable even with IR blasting.

And, the latest STBs here (DCX3200) don't even have firewire (or, a channel display on the front). But, they heat the entire room. I don't know what they are doing while in standby (updating the guide, I guess), but they really generate some heat.

Forgot to mention, that since the full digital transition here in June, I had a good number of recordings that would not play unless run through MPEG2Repair. Mostly the CBS channel. When I got the cable card for the prime, I also got a tuning adapter, so perhaps implementing switched digital video affected the firewire output.
