Hi, Just starting to use my NPVR setup and I might ask a dumb question (or two lol). But I notice that Live TV is splitting recordings into multiple files. Also, I expected it to continue recording the next show, but it did not seem to work. I have it set to track by EPG information.

Not sure I follow you. If you schedule a recording, that recording should end up in a single file (unless you've restarted the recording service during that recording).

I've seen this a few times. What can cause this is transmission glitches during the recording, it looks it stop recording to a file then start another one when transmission resumes.

Ok. But my system is an analog capture card, so dang, I guess my system has the hiccups. I have ordered a PVR 2250 to replace the old beloved PVR-150. Maybe that will fix it.

Let me re-word that. The Live recording for one show is being split into many 300 kb files. I think this cause probs with deleting them too.

I'll post more info, including logs as soon as I get a chance. I know I should have made a better post.

Yes it is normal to split the live tv rolling file into chunks, but the default is 6.33 minutes. There is a registry setting that controls the size, did you accidentally play around with that? There could be up to four of them made, how many do you see?

No, I did not change any settings related to that. Based on this information, I think it is working correctly then. I'll let it alone for awhile and see. Thanks. Happy New Year to everyone and thanks for the support.

Hi again. Follow up question on the Live TV. Can the length (size) of the Live buffer be changed? I want to make it bigger if I can.
