Missing Hidden Menu Bar

When opening NPVR I get the black screen, right click brings up content menu & all functions there work perfectly. Reading through the keyboard preferences I'm unable to bring up the What's New screen or any other features available when I first downloaded the program---less than 6 weeks ago.

Any ideas how to restore the Hidden Menu Bar?

Unfortunately I have no idea how to even begin that process. Should I delete NPVR completely?

Trying right-clicking, going to Settings->General, then make sure you have the UI Mode set to 'PVR', not 'TV Viewer'.
