anybody using the Colossus

I'm looking into changing my capture card. I've been checking prices on the Colossus because it has an html port that I can plug my HD Direct TV set top box. I'm wondering if any one else is using this card and what type of luck they are having with it.

I purchased a Colossus capture card. I works great. I'm currently using the PVR software that comes with the card. It's really simple to install and use.
Nextpvr see's the card so i will be setting it up

Working well here for six months or so...I have it paired with a HD PVR and working pretty well.

Are any of you using it with either S/PIDF or HDMI audio to get 5.1 sound? I'm trying to convert from SageTV and am using NextPVR as my backend and an intel Nuc running Kodi as my frontend. Everything works except I don't get any sound unless I mess with the audio settings to get the stream to restart. I then get the 5.1 signal but if I switch channels I have to do it again. I thought I came across an old thread where it seemed that the directv receiver didn't start the 5.1 stream quick enough and a delay needed to happen on the colossus but I never could get it to work.

Are you getting no sound in Kodi or in NextPVR?

The issue appears in both. I can get the audio to work if I restart the audio stream. For example, I tune to a channel and the video starts but no sound. If I look at the info it says it is using 2.0 channel AAC. In Kodi if I go to the audio options and say hit "enable passthrough" it pauses the stream and then restarts it. Then I get 5.1 audio and it works fine. If I change to another channel it goes back to the 2.0 AAC, if I disable "enable passthrough", then the stream pauses/restarts and I get 5.1 back. I'm using a Directv HR21 receiver and I've tried using just an optical cable and HDMI. It acts like when it's changing channels the colossus defaults to 2.0 and NextPVR captures that before it has a chance to lock onto the 5.1 stream.

In the config file I've put ForceSPDIF to True, WaitLongerBeforeRecordingCaputre to True, WaitLongerDelay i've tried between 3000-12000 (I honestly couldn't tell any difference in the delay).

Any thing I could be missing in the config file?
