As you suggested, here's a link to my npvr.db3 file (it's too big to upload), and attached are the latest nrecord.log and ImageGrabLite.log so we can see if the interaction between Alan Birtles' XMLTV programme data grabber for the EPG and IGL can be reconciled, for use with my Plex Media Server. It would be great if you can get program renaming to work and/or suggest some fine-tuning...

Could you share your XMLTV file too please? There are too many seasons numbers with zero has the episode for my liking.

Surely. Thanks for your help, Martin.

PS: Would it make life easier if I switched from Birtles' XMLTV grabber to the xmltv.org project?

Thanks I think sub needs to have a look at that, the season and episode are there but he isn't parsing them both. As for the episode-num markup it seems to be zero-based I don't know if that is standard or not.

You can investigate other source, maybe even Schedules Direct, they have quality EPG data in North America.

I finally got around to switching over from Alan Birtles' XMLTV GUI to xmltv.org - and it's certainly made a difference. The one recording I've made so far shows that the filename has lost the time stamp, so iGL seems to be working as intended. Now I just need to lose the ® for repeat in the name too.

I wonder if there a way of altering existing filenames. Thinking about it, I suppose I could write a batch file or AutoIt script to grab each filename in turn and drop it into the iGL command line...

I think iGL does that for searching but I will need to test if that is used for the rename. You'd need the --nfo option with Kodi because I can't help the folder name.

I posted a sqlite script that does that if you search here.

Thanks Martin. Will check out the scripts. Getting there...

PS: I'm using Plex Media Server so no need for an nfo file.
