Single channel with no audio

Hi,

I have been using NextPVR for a while now and had very little problems with all channels available working as they should.

For some strange reason 1 of the channels has all of a sudden lost its audio. There are 3 channels on the same frequency 'One' 'Ten' and 'Eleven'. Channel 'One' has decided it doesn't want to play any audio with the others working fine.

I've tried deleting the single channel and re-tuning it and also all the channels on the same frequency but it still has the same issue.

If anyone has any idea that would be great?

If you make a recording on that channel, and playback the recording, does it have audio? ie, is it only live tv that has the issue?

No audio on playback either. Both in and out of nPVR.

If you can do a short recording, and put it somewhere I can download it from, I'll check the file for you.

I think you're recording from a digital source, so if you've got video, then you'll also have audio. If I can look at a file though, I can tell you more, like the type of decoder it's looking for etc.

While uploading the recording for you to grab I tried playing it in VLC and it had audio in that playback. So your right it is there but doesn't want to play.

It'll probably just come down to your choice of audio decoders. If you can't get it to play, I'm happy to look at a sample file, incase there is anything in the stream that NextPVR doesn't like.

Will have a play with decoders. Is there any way of changing a decoder for a specific channel? With all of the other channels working fine I don't really want to mess around with their decoder.

After looking through it appears this is the only channel that is using AC3. So I guess the problem lies there. Will download the latest version of Saf6 and see if that makes a difference.

That video plays fine for me in NextPVR, and gives audio.

It's AC3 audio, so you'll need to try other AC3 decoders on the Settings->Decoders screen.

Updated Saf6 and it now works perfectly. Thanks for your help, need to keep things up to date!!
