Updated to 3.4.8 PC clients now freeze when playing live TV on some channels

Have been updating my PCs for ages now with new versions of NextPVR without any issues until the other day.

Server and both PC clients have all been updated.

Some channels play live TV on clients without any problems others consistently freeze after a few seconds on playing OK. By freeze I mean that the sound and image both stop although a tap on the ESC key gets you back to the program guide.

Three sets of logs attached.

- One with server playing channel Quest OK.
- Other two are with the client playing Quest when it freezes.

Any help appreciated.

Have also just realised that this happens on the channels I thought were OK. Any ideas?

Got something similar here,

I did the update a few days ago and everything look fine until I rebooted both the server and the client.
Trying to watch recordings on a client, most of them would get timeout, black video, out of bound timing info. Opening the same recording a few minute later is fine. Reopening it fail... I included the server log of one of some failed viewing.

Open the file of that same recording over the network plays fine.
Watching the same recording on the server is ok.

On the client, while watching a recording, starting PIP on the same channel froze NextPVR.

Reboot server, reboot client same problem. Reinstall both server and client with the latest download from April 28, same issues.

So on the client, I uninstalled NextPVR, remove Programs Files(x86)\NPVR (NPVRNetPushSource.ax was still present in the folder), renamed Users\Public\NPVR, resinstalled NextPVR, System and Listing plugins, configured the client and things look fine now.

I am able to watch all the recordings that failed earlier in the day.

I still have issues with NextPVR client crashing watching Live TV, but can steam to VLC for very long periods of time with no problems. It's been a consistent issue since 2.x.x when I first seriously tried to set up a client.

Mine client gets stuck in a JIT error loop and I can't even get into it and set any of the settings (fresh install)

No errors logs that I can find so don't ask .....

I turned off the server now it gets stuck in a .NET error loop until you kill it in the Task Manager ..... It's completely unusable

All my recordings play fine it's just live TV that has an issue

Like Dan the Man, I've the same experience. Live TV might play for 5 minutes or an hour, but it will crash (get stuck on a freeze frame) if left by itself. Recordings all play absolutely fine.
