I hope the ehome IR driver will still be included with windows 10 else some of us might be screwed.

I never particularly liked it, nor used it for that matter, but I think it was a good thing that it existed and will be missed. It must have helped with things like ensuring tuner manufacturers all made standard DVB drivers for instance?

I'm not a huge fan of it but it did work very well and easily with my cable cards.
Now we'll see what others will come up with for that void. I wish they would give it open source status but that's not MS's style. WMC is the only application that will record encrypted/protected shows with my HD Homerun Prime Cable card tuner. Nothing else that i tried will.
