You could maybe try creating a c:\temp directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR\RecordFullTS=1 (DWORD), then try recording that channel for a minute, then hopefully you'll have a big file in your c:\temp directory.
Remember to remove that registry setting after the test, otherwise you'll fill your hard disk very quickly.

With this test a recording give a filesize about 90 MB. Can be downloaded here https://www.dropbox.com/s/dzdb3q6j3mt6nn...20.ts?dl=0

What do you have your Main Application set to in the HDHomeRun Setup utility?

OK guess I will just have to live with the issue. Its not the end of the World :-)
Thanks for your time :-)
Did You by any chance solve this in the meantime?
I'm having the exact same problem with the same channel. I've tried different kinds of codecs without any help. Channel plays fine in HDHomerun viewer and vlc but not in npvr or kodi. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Spent some more time on this issue...
I thought this was a codec problem, but it's not (tried shark007, cyberlink powerdvd codecs, ffdshow, LAV filters and SAF). I base this on the fact that I can record the troublesome channel and I can also playback the recording. It seems very strange to me, why I can't watch live tv on that particular channel when recording works just fine. TV2 Danmark, is of type "h.264 HD" but npvr states that no mpeg2 encoder has been setup when trying to watch it the first time. Setting up the mpeg2 decoder to eg. ffdshow just causes black screen on that channel. Any thoughts? anyone?

What is the service type set to? If it's not H.264, and you set it to H.264, does it fix the problem? |
