Hey there, I have a Hauppauge HVR-1250, and Dish Network. Now, because we're running through Dish, the way I had everything set up in Windows Media Center was as an antenna, where the two TVs output on channels 60 and 69.

In Media Center, this worked fine, but I have to switch away, since WMC is deprecated in Windows 10. Anyway, my card shows as 3 devices. I see both ATSC and QAM listings for a "Hauppauge WinTV 885 BDA Tuner/Demod" as well as an IPTV device entry. All 3 are present and active, but the neither of the Hauppauge entries detect either channel. How can I get these channels set up here? I'm using version 3.4.8 on Windows 8.1 Pro x64

The Dish box is probably putting out analog video, so you need to install the WinTV software that came with the card. Then, you should see an analog tuner in Devices, in addition to the ATSC and QAM. See the Read Before Posting sticky at the top of the forum for info on this.

You'll need to configure the analog tuner for a fixed channel (60 and 69?) and then figure out and set up the channel changer to the Dish box. Probably will be haupblast.exe which is the Hauppauge blaster app.

Awesome! Thanks. I've never had to do anything with the disc that came with it before, so I never would have thought of that.

I did read the "read before posting" thread, but I must have missed a bit.

Okay, so I installed all of the drivers that came with the card, and have restarted to complete the install (SSDs are awesome - clicking the restart button to booted into Windows in 32 seconds).

Anyway, I'm not seeing an analog card entry in NextPVR's devices menu, but then again, there was no WinTV software bundled other than the drivers for the card.

It needs WinTV installed for the analog device to show up (or you can manually install the SoftPVR components, as described on the wiki and a few other posts).

Okay, so I downloaded the latest WinTV, but I don't have a CD drive. My workaround involves imaging the CD into an ISO on my laptop and then mounting that. Works fine on my end, but even though the installer sees the drive letter and contents, it fails to recognize the files as the CD drive. Would this have anything to do with the fact that it's a mounted ISO, or is it possibly just because it doesn't recognize the files, since the disc and card are more than 2 years old?

I actually saw that page, yes. That's where I got the installer from. Forgive my ignorance, as it's late here, and I'm tired. I didn't see the batch file links at the bottom of the page.

Anyway, I got it all set up, and I had to play around with the decoders, but I got it all working. Thanks for all your help you guys!
