Right. Could you try adding this to each tuner <SocketOpen>true</SocketOpen> and restart.

When i try to open a channel I'm getting tuner not available from kodi, and 'unable to communicate with recording device' from nextpvr. Do i have this setting in the right spot?

NetworkRecorder.xml
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Settings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="21" instance="1">
      <FriendlyName>InfiniTV1</FriendlyName>
      <host>127.0.0.1</host>
      <port>6971</port>
      <delay>8000</delay>
      <SocketOpen>true</SocketOpen>
    </NetworkRecorder>
  </PluginSettings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="22" instance="2">
      <FriendlyName>InfiniTV2</FriendlyName>
      <host>127.0.0.1</host>
      <port>6972</port>
      <delay>8000</delay>
      <SocketOpen>true</SocketOpen>
    </NetworkRecorder>
  </PluginSettings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="23" instance="3">
      <FriendlyName>InfiniTV3</FriendlyName>
      <host>127.0.0.1</host>
      <port>6973</port>
      <delay>8000</delay>
      <SocketOpen>true</SocketOpen>
    </NetworkRecorder>
  </PluginSettings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="24" instance="4">
      <FriendlyName>InfiniTV4</FriendlyName>
      <host>127.0.0.1</host>
      <port>6974</port>
      <delay>8000</delay>
      <SocketOpen>true</SocketOpen>
    </NetworkRecorder>
  </PluginSettings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="25" instance="5">
      <FriendlyName>InfiniTV5</FriendlyName>
      <host>127.0.0.1</host>
      <port>6975</port>
      <delay>8000</delay>
      <SocketOpen>true</SocketOpen>
    </NetworkRecorder>
  </PluginSettings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="26" instance="6">

Is your networkrecorder.dll dated Oct. 2013?

Slightly different error in that kodi tells me that a channel cannot be played, and its b/c the NPVR service crashes when i try to tune to a channel. Attached are the NPVR logs.

I removed the socket open from the xml and its working again, in fact it seems like the buffer TS files are being removed after a channel is changed, so I guess my problem was using an old outdated networkrecorder.dll

Im going to leave a channel run for a while and see if the files roll over like they are supposed to...

Good but I don't like the look of that NRecord.log. It doesn't show me the proper debug logging. Do you have a newer one showing it working?

NetworkRecorder doesn't support the rolling file.

Attached is the latest log file with the sockeopen statement removed from the xml file, i ran the tuner for about 30 minutes or so on 1 channel, i didnt see any additional settings in nextpvr for debug logging

Crap... my wife has been known to fall asleep with the TV on... what would happen if i make a separate partition and put my live buffer there? what happens when the space runs out?
