I was having this issue as well, with recorded shows not showing up under TV -> Recordings and I can confirm that the pvr.nextpvr.dll posted here works.

That said, I'm curious why kodi is not picking up my comskip txt files, when if i were to go to Videos or TV Shows (which scrape my 'DVR' folder) it works there...

It's a limitation of kodi. They wont ask for comskip files if playing an http stream (which is how NextPVR streams to kodi).

Thats unfortunate... thanks for clearing that up though... reading different forums, its seems that this feature was supposed to be introduced into Kodi as far back as 2012... i wonder why it never made it

I don't think you read that comskip via http was ever supported. That being said I have compiled Kodi with it working so it is possible.

This hack/patch has fixed my issue with the recordings not showing up until Kodi is restarted. Awesome!!

But now, I have a couple more recording questions, and I don't know if this is the exact correct place, but you guys are on the ball so I'm hoping to catch your ear...
1. How are we supposed to watch recordings that are currently happening? In Kodi, if I start a recording and then go to "Recordings" and start playing it, it only shows that the total show duration is however long it has been recording before I hit "Play" - and then once it hits the end of that time, it just stops playing and I need to play it again and fast forward... over and over and over again.
2. How can we schedule recordings of all shows that have the title "NFL Football"?? There doesn't seem to be a way to do this simple (?) task. NPVR and Kodi want to lock me into a time slot, or a channel, or both. But I want all channels, all time slots... just EVERYTHING that has the string "NFL Football" in the title.

Thoughts?

#2 NEWA's AutoSearch/Record facility will do this... see the wiki...

This is a bit OT so if you need any further help with this, maybe open a new thread in the NEWA sub-forum.

For #1 that is a normal issue with http streaming. If you use the x-newa plug with a share you don't have it.

For #2 I would never recommend NEWA for this simply because aut-search doesn't respect the unique_id and you would end with with duplicated. The good news is NFL Football is the title from SD so a normal NextPVR recurring recording will work.
