These files are actually "modification time" all in the correct order so I will try just a normal import on them shortly

another problem I am having

mvallevand Wrote:There are two other options to --import in newer versions of iGL

--import fillename unique_id channelOID

unique_id is what to use as the NextPVR unique id typically in North America the zap2it id
channeOID is the id of the channel to show a nice icon.

I can't figure out the syntax to get it to add channelOID (it adds a unique_id ...that I don't want....just fine)??

The channelOID is a number (the oid in the channel table). If you start livetv the number would be in NRecord.log You can put a bogus unique_id but something must be there

StartStream(####:title)

Attached is the fix to d/l the thetvdb file properly if it hasn't been done already. removed working on ti.

I have spent way too much time on this, I give up.... it just doesn't do it for me I either get a recording that shows as 0 minutes long or one that shows as 2 minutes long whereas it is actually 1:25 long & nothing I have tried will get the channel icon to show...

I had break & then another thought & when I went look again at the last few trials I saw it was actually adding the channel icon now Smile so that's all good..... my thought is to use IGL to grab the details etc. & then generate a recording-backup.xml that I can easily edit for re-import that should A: save me time & B: have the right data (recording length etc.) for those recordings.... only problem is your last update (two messages above) seems to have broken it as even re-doing S01E01.ts (yes I renamed to original file on the HDD) doesn't get the data now but it did with the pre-update version.

OK this should fix the problem for the first file in a series not working. Sorry about your troubles using the features for time and channel, that really wasn't meant to be used I figured most people wouldn't care beyond getting it in the database. My real option was to get the unique id in so it wouldn't record duplicates.

Question: Would the fact that I moved my Db out & let NextPVR create a new blank one (to make the recording-backup small for editing) that I didn't bother to add any channels etc. too (I decided it's easy to add the channel at recording-backup edit time) affect how it grabs the first-run dates?? As the times & length of recording were all totally weird when I imported Grimm S04 & Humans S01 yesterday
(and yes I know, in my last message, I said it was working well & basically overall it is)

The database doesn't matter, no. If --first isn't working let me know and end a log, but the duration could be a mess for sure.
