I've just made a long overdue switch from Windows Media Center to NextPVR and am very impressed so far.

I have a card with two DVB-T tuners and two DVB-S tuners on it so whenever I set up a system like this I have to spend a great deal of time merging channels across the two types of tuner and renumbering them to fit a listing I came up with for Media Center a while ago to handle Freeview and Freesat channels in one consistently grouped line-up.

While I can see you can export and import channels from individual tuners/devices, which is great for saving on rescanning, I can't see a way to export my full merged channel line-up with all its custom numbers and merged sets of four-tuner sources. Is this possible? It would be brilliant if, when I finally finish setting this up (3hrs spent so far...) I knew I'd never have to do the whole thing again if I had any computer problems!

Thanks,
Paul

I guess that's a 'no' then - there is no way to do this?

I've also now added XMLTV EPG sources (after problems with missed recordings when using the over-the-air DVB guide info on UK DVB-T and DVB-S) and would also like to back all that info up too.

All in all it's a lot of config to lose if I ever need to reinstall...

Thanks,
Paul

You can of always just backup the npvr.db3 file.

When I set up a new system I alwayr scan for channels and merge them first, then make a backup of the npvr.db3 file, that way I have a fresh database with channel setup if something goes sideways later Smile

Thanks both, that's a good tip! (Sorry for delayed reply, only just seen these replies, ridiculously enough!)
