I'v been struggeling with the transcoding and got it to work partially but ffmpeg is too wounerable to glitches and errors in the transport stream, so it would crash regularly. In the end I gave it up.

I downloaded a recent FFMPEG (which I named ffmpeg3.exe) and use this string and it seems to work great. If you need the exact FFMPEG version I have let me know. My source is a HDHR Prime and a HDHR-2TC

Hi,
Is this still working for folks in the latest version of NextPVR (with the patch above of course)? I can see from the logs that ffmpeg seems to be starting, and sending data, but no client seems to be happy with it ...  .Thanks!

NP - won't do that. Or rather, I'll undo it ... LOL.
Will transcode work in 3.5.7 without the patch? Thanks!

Was just about to do the upgrade when I saw this - i'll wait till we hear back on this before I do the upgrade

any patch released for 3.4.8 is included in 3.5.7
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct
main client: NextPVR 5.0.7 Desktop Client; LG 50UH5500 WebOS 3.0 TV

Yep, what he said. For this particular function 3.5.7 will be the same as it was in 3.4.8 + that patch. There has been no further changes in that code.

FYI, seem to be getting an error, as follows ...
